Massage

Massage is a treatment where the massage therapist uses different grips and techniques to release tension in the muscles. The tensions may arise due to bad working positions or strain, but may also be caused by more emotional states such as stress, anger and anxiety. Muscle tensions may get stuck in the body and cause pain in e.g. the back, shoulders, neck, hips and knees. Tensions can also be caused by too much or too little physical activity.

Massage is one of the most important treatments for muscle tensions and has a positive impact on well-being. The aim of the treatment is to promote health and reduce stress.

Stress reducingmassage and touching are tranquilizers to the body. During massage soothing hormones are released in the blood veins. The soothing hormones work differently to the stress hormones, which are activated when we are pressed and out of control. The aim of massage is to activate a reaction of silence and peace rather than a fight or flight reactions.

Circulation massage & Reduction of cellulitis

Circulation massage is a deep going connective tissue massage that increases the circulation in the subcutaneous tissue. Deep connective tissue massage aims at increasing the blood and lymph circulation in the areas of the body where the circulation is particularly inhibited. The treatment has shown to be efficient towards stomach/intestinal problems, menstruation pain, cold hands/feet, tighter skin and reduction of cellulitis as well improved sleep.

One treatment per week is recommended in order to achieve the wanted effect. How many weeks that are needed to achieve the set goal varies a lot between individuals. During the first consultation and treatment the therapist will guide you on how you can achieve your goals.

The circulation massage may be painful the first few treatments. When the circulation increases in the areas where it previously was low, the pain of the treatment is also reduced.
